Day 1 - Lancelin
After a (free) well rested night at The Shiralee hostel we embark on our journey up North along the Western coast of Australia. Our first stop will get your heart pumping as we shred the desert sand dunes in Lancelin, Australia’s premier sand boarding destination. Board rental with Camp Out Tours is free and we encourage you to get snap happy as you slip and slide your way down pure white dunes. Lunch is provided (everyday) and there will be chance to swim (showers are available on site). For our first night, we will be sleeping in a campsite near Geraldton and will be sharing an extravagant feast (included). Feel free to BYOB and kick back while we set up your tents (singles and doubles available on request).
Day 2 - Kalbarri
On day two we will be stopping for lunch at the famous Pink Lake (Hutt Lagoon) where you can get that perfect shot for the 'gram. We will then be travelling further North to a favourite campsite of ours at Kalbarri National Park where you can see Nature's Window. On evening two, we will be having a BBQ extravaganza for dinner followed by an evening of star gazing.
Day 3 - Monkey Mia
Leaving Kalbarri behind on day three, we drive to Shark Bay where 2,000 dolphins inhabit. 200 Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins live in the waters near Monkey Mia where we will be staying. We will also get to see the Stromatolites (the world's oldest organisms) and Shell Beach where you can collect a souvenir from the millions of shells on the beach. Tonight, instead of camping, we will be spending the night at Monkey Mia Resort Hostel and sharing dorm rooms.
Day 4 - Carnarvon
After breakfast and an early morning dolphin watching at the beach on day four we will head inland for a classic Australian Outback experience. We will spend the night stargazing and sleeping in the middle of nowhere. This evening we will be indulging in traditional smores around a bonfire.
Day 5 & 6 - Coral Bay
Leaving the outback on day 5, we head towards the Coral Bay coast. Over the next two days we will discover all the wonders that the Ningaloo Reef has to offer. Don't worry, we've got complimentary snorkles so you wont miss out on the adventure but don't forget your underwater cameras!
While on the Coral Bay coast, optional diving and whale shark tours are available, this is not included in the Camp Out Tours but we recommend researching and booking in advance if you'd like to participate.
Day 6 is another day at Coral Bay! Spend the time relaxing, snorkelling (equipment included) or take advantage of the optional tours available.
Day 7 - Exmouth
Leaving Coral Bay behind on day seven, we drive our final Northern leg. After arriving in Exmouth in the early afternoon, we will enjoy a light lunch and spend some time exploring before we drive further along the coast towards Sandy Bay, Turquoise Bay and Oyster Stacks where there are amazing snorkelling opportunities. After a day exploring sandy beaches and the underwater world, we will be spending the night camping on the beach in Cape Range National Park.
Day 8 - Nanga Bay
We will begin our journey back down South and will arrive at Nanga Bay with enough time to relax and enjoy the beach before a beautiful sunset becomes the backdrop to our evening.
Day 9 - Geraldton
Leaving Nanga Bay around midday, we continue South, stopping along the way for lunch and a swim. We will spend our last night under the stars before heading back into Perth the next day.
Day 10 - Pinnacles
Our final day takes us to The Pinnacles, a group of limestone formations within Nambung National Park, followed by lunch. We will be arriving in Perth around 5pm for another complimentary night in our hostel where we will be having a fun movie night to end the trip.
For small group tours, we can customize an itinerary to emphasize your interests. If you have a special request, send us a message, and we will be sure to get back to you soon.
